Francisco Pérez (he/him/his) is the Graduate Intern for the Latinos and Society program at the Aspen Institute (AILAS). He is pursuing his Master’s degree in International Development at the School of International Service at American University.
Prior to joining the Latinos and Society program he served in the Peace Corps in Guatemala as a Youth in Development volunteer where he collaborated with community educators and health workers to develop and implement youth programming and trained later cohorts of Peace Corps Volunteers. Francisco has worked with non-profits in the international development field in Washington, DC and Guatemala. He is passionate about social and economic justice, and empowering marginalized communities in domestic and international contexts.
Francisco holds a B.A in Political Science from the State University of New York at Oswego and is originally from Rochester, New York.
