Gloria González (Washington, DC) is a public health advisor and the Latino health policy lead for the Division of Policy and Data in the Office of Minority Health (OMH) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). At OMH, she leads efforts related to community health workers and the Promotores de Salud Initiative, and serves as the Co-Chair for the HHS Community Health Worker Workgroup. Her portfolio includes health disparities policy coordination across the department and implementation of the HHS Action Plan to Reduce Racial and Ethnic Health Disparities. Prior to her time with HHS, Dr. González served as a Social Science Research Analyst in the Food and Nutrition Service at the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she conducted research and evaluation studies on reducing childhood hunger.
