Gregory A. McPherson is the Director of Adult & Senior Programs at Matrix Human Services in Detroit, MI. Matrix is a multi-generational impact organization that serves individuals from 0 to senior age with the overall goal of helping people reach self-sufficiency. Three years ago, he was promoted from Manager to Director and took a division with 300k in funding to currently 1.2 million in annual program funding. This increase in funding came on the heels of reorganizing the department’s program service areas, collaborating with strategic partners, and writing creative program proposals through various competitive funding sources. He directs a team of 40, including 3 managers, that operates programs that impacts thousands of individuals yearly in the service areas of: workforce development, financial empowerment, adult education, housing stability, resource navigation and senior wellness. Gregory holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Siena Heights University in Adrian, MI and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry degree from the Ecumenical Theological Seminary in Detroit, MI.
