Hector Mujica (San Francisco, California) is a South Florida native, growing up in the suburbs of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Hector joined Google in the fall of 2011. He works on the Social Responsibility team, overseeing Googler philanthropic engagement in the United States and Latin America. Within his role, he also oversees several global programs, including Google’s disaster relief giving and volunteering efforts. Hector is also leads much of Google’s U.S. Hispanic outreach efforts, spearheading strategic partnerships with community organizations and policy groups. His background includes strategic investment banking at Oppenheimer & Co., public policy with Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and international affairs with the Economic Section of the U.S. Embassy in Tokyo, along with other previous roles at Google. Hector is a graduate from Florida International University, where he received a B.B.A. with a focus in International Business and a minor in International Relations. Participated in Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program El Paso-Juarez Influencer Learning Tour.
