Isabel Geisler (College Park, Maryaland) is a Global Studies major, focusing on Development Health & the Environment, Geographic Information Sciences Certificate, and a Spanish minor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).

Isabel Geisler (College Park, Maryland) is a Global Studies major, focusing on Development Health & the Environment, Geographic Information Sciences Certificate, and a Spanish minor at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). She is a Sondheim Public Affairs Scholar and France-Merrick Fellow. Isabel is the director and founder of the Reach Initiative, a mentorship program that assists Baltimore high school women who have an interest in the STEM and Economic fields. She is also the Director of the UMBC SGA Service and Community Outreach.  She researches the effects of fair trade coffee on gender violence in Central America, spatially analyzes Latina access to facilities in Baltimore City, and assists in her mentor’s research on immigration policy in Baltimore. Following her graduation in May, Isabel will be pursuing her PhD in Sociology at Northeastern University.
