Jinny Han is the Site Director for Per Scholas, a non-profit IT training organization with the mission to open doors to technology careers for individuals from often overlooked communities. Since their Detroit launch in late 2019, Per Scholas has supported over 40+ students in starting their IT journey and plans to train 150+ in 2020. Prior to this role, Jinny has worked in both the education, non-profit and for-profit sector. She started her career as a high school science teacher in Chicago, with Chicago Teaching Fellows and has worked for various non-profits such as The Posse Foundation and Playworks. Most recently, she graduated with her MBA from the University of Michigan – Ross School of Business and is excited to combine her knowledge of business with her work in the workforce development space. Jinny is also a proud graduate of Colorado College, where she obtained her B.A in Biology. As a resident of Midtown in Detroit, she enjoys trying new restaurants with her partner, learning more about the vibrant Detroit community, shopping at Eastern Market and hanging out with her two kittens.
Jinny Han is a member of the Detroit Workforce Leadership Academy Class of 2020, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.
