Johnny Campo

Associate Director, Finance, Leadership Programs

Johnny brings to the Leadership Division fifteen years’ experience in finance across international non-profits and companies. He joined the Aspen Institute in 2015 as a member of the Financial Services Unit, supporting a broad portfolio of programs – currently Ascend, ANDE, Aspen Global Innovators, the AGLN, Seminars, as well as youth programs. Prior to the Aspen Institute, Johnny was a manager for financial planning and analysis at the Center for Clean Air Policy, a climate change think tank in Washington, D.C. In this role, he was responsible for the operational and program budgeting process, grants management, as well as advising on project finance initiatives. Before that, Johnny worked in corporate finance at the head office in Colombia of a large multinational company, overseeing its capital expenditure budget and developing financial models for investments. He has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Miami and an MBA from the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid and is fully bilingual in Spanish and English. In his spare time, Johnny has always enjoyed a good soccer match and has recently discovered the joys of gardening.
