Jordan Thomas is a Graduate Fellow at the Aspen Institute’s Financial Security Program (FSP). Jordan is interested in understanding how new advances in financial technology help prevent financial shocks to low-income and middle class families and hopes to identify solutions that financially empower disadvantaged communities and families. Before joining Aspen, Jordan was a Project Associate at the Urban Institute, where he assisted the Senior Vice President for Financial and Business Strategy with internal projects. Before that, he served as an Political Appointee at the U.S. Department of Labor during the Obama Administration and taught 7th grade math with Teach For America.
Jordan has a B.A. in Political Science from Elon University and is completing the final year of his M.S. in Public Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
