Juan Zarco is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has been a mentor for high school students in STEM for several years, helping the community grow, especially during COVID-19. Juan plans to use his education to help others of all ages, especially those in low-income communities who do not have the necessary resources to advance and adapt to new technologies, like in his community in Cicero. Juan Zarco is an Aspen Young Leaders Fellow in the 2020-2021 Chicago cohort.
