Katie Bauman serves as an associate for the Aspen Institute Socrates Program, which provides a forum for emerging leaders from various professions to convene and explore contemporary issues through expert moderated dialogue. She provides administrative and programmatic support to the Socrates team. Previously, Katie was a Marketing and Communications Associate for Oceana, a nonprofit focused on ocean conservation and advocacy. In this role, she coordinated with international offices and helped lead organizational media efforts, events, and projects.
Katie is a graduate of Princeton University and holds a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and a certificate in American Studies. While in school, she was involved in wilderness education and civic engagement initiatives. Originally from Florida, she enjoys being outdoors and in her free time can be found exploring DC and the surrounding region.
