Kiese Hansen is a Policy and Market Solutions Fellow with the Aspen Institute Financial Security Program (FSP), where she manages the team’s work with municipal leaders nationwide and supports a portfolio that includes developing solutions to consumer debt and other household financial challenges. She holds a deep interest in domestic economic inequality, particularly as it relates to race, gender, food insecurity, and wealth. This is reflected in both her past work and volunteer experiences, which have included time with the Congressional Hunger Center, the Center for Law and Social Policy, the Greater Twin Cities United Way, and Community Tax Aid D.C. Kiese has returned to FSP after first working with the team as a program associate, during which time she also served as co-chair of Aspen’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She graduated from the University of Maryland in 2015 with a degree in economics.
