Krista Monroy is an analyst of Indicators and Trends in Telecommunications and the Digital Ecosystem at the Investigative Authority of the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT).

Krista Monroy is an analyst of Indicators and Trends in Telecommunications and the Digital Ecosystem at the Investigative Authority of the Federal Telecommunications Institute (IFT). Krista is responsible for the creation of telecommunication indicators using data science applications, collaborates in the statistical integration of the telecommunications information bank in the regulatory sector.  In addition, she is part of the team that integrates the roadmap of Mexico’s IFT.  Krista is a graduate of the Faculty of Higher Studies Aragon of the economics career generation 2013-2017, currently studying the engineering degree in Logistics and Transport at the Open and Distance University of Mexico; she has several diplomas including “Evaluation of Public Policies and Programs” and “Results-Based Budgets” by the Secretary of Finance and Public Credit  (SHCP); as well as studies of the digital environment, among which are the “Community Wireless Network Buildings”  by the Internet Society. “Legal Bases and Regulatory Framework” and “Women’s Leadership in the Telecommunications and ICT Sector” by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), “Internet Governance” by the Universidad Externado de Colombia, “Economic Aspects of Broadband, Internet Policies and Governance”, “Fintech and Latin America”, “Cybersecurity as a National Strategy” by the Center for Specialized Studies in Broadband and ICT (CEABAD). In the field of data sciences, “Big Data” by UNAM, “ANOVA, Regression and Logistic   Regression”; “Advanced Tasks and Querying” by SAS. She collaborated in 2020 on the topics of cybersecurity and Internet governance for the integration of the National Artificial Intelligence Agenda. She has also collaborated in publications for the Center for Studies specializing in Broadband and ICT (CEABAD). Selected to participate in the 2021 Socrates Digital Winter Seminar: Disinformation Hate and Social Media Platforms-The Future of Technology Regulation and Speech in America.
