Leticia Guzman Ingram is committed to helping all students believe in themselves and find success in a global society. Ingram is the 2016 Colorado Teacher of the Year and recipient of the Virginia French Allen Award for Excellence in Teaching. She was awarded English Language Development Teacher of the Year by the Colorado Department of Education. As part of a partnership with the United States State Department and the Embassy of Hague, Ingram is considered an ambassador of United States Education. Next year she will participate in a Global Fellowship Program where she will visit and learn about China’s educational system. She has advanced degrees in Religion and Cross Cultural Communication and Instruction in Linguistically Diverse Classrooms. Ingram is a teacher at Basalt High School where she has transformed the English Language Development program to better meet the academic, social, and cultural needs of her students. Her passion is teaching students and teachers to become a bridge between cultures.
