Mariana Torres is the Assistant Program Officer on the LISC Phoenix team with over five years of experience in workforce development. She has served in various capacities, including financial coaching, career exploration, program management, and staff and organizational development. Over the years, she has worked closely with community-based organizations, government agencies, and Workforce Innovation Opportunity Act (WIOA) partners to connect those most in need to available resources. Since starting her role with LISC, she has provided technical assistance and capacity building support to the Phoenix area organizations. Her direct work includes the Financial Opportunity Centers that deliver income support, employment counseling, and financial coaching to the local community. Over time, her responsibilities have expanded to guide community development organizations as they provide technical assistance to local businesses.
