Managing Director, Aspen Ideas: Health

Natalie Johnson is the Managing Director of Aspen Ideas: Health at the Aspen Institute.

Natalie leads programming and operations, along with Director Ruth Katz, for the annual Aspen Ideas: Health event, held each summer in Aspen, Colorado. The event gathers visionaries and activists, policymakers and community leaders, and artists and scientists together for conversations focused on better health for all. She is responsible for the curation of programming and for overseeing the preparation, production, and execution of all aspects of the three day event. Natalie works closely with the Health, Medicine, and Society policy program and she collaborates with the Aspen Ideas Festival team and other Institute divisions to produce the event each year.

Natalie joined the Aspen Institute in 2010 working with the Society of Fellows and then with the Aspen Ideas Festival. She moved on in 2015 to work as Assistant Director of Donor Relations at the University of Arizona for two years before returning to the Aspen Institute in 2017 to join the Aspen Ideas: Health program. Natalie graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Management, and later earned her Master’s in Administration from Northern Arizona University. Natalie resides in Boulder, Colorado.
