Nina Cogan serves as the Development Associate for the Leadership Division at the Aspen Institute. Nina supports the division in her role through identifying opportunities and strategically expanding the fundraising pipeline for the leadership programs. Nina also maintains donor and relationship information in the Institute’s CRM database, manages fundraising processes for the division, and helps to coordinate various fundraising goals of the programs within the division.
Prior to joining the Aspen Institute, Nina served as the Development Associate for Council for a Strong America (CSA), a national bipartisan organization advocating for policies and programs positively impacting youth. While at CSA, Nina oversaw large grants with foundations such as the Walmart Foundation and the Charles S. Mott Foundation. In addition, she worked to manage individual donor portfolios, corporate giving, and fundraising events for the organization. Nina also served as the co-chair of the Staff Empowerment Group.
Prior to working for CSA, Nina worked in Baltimore, MD to cultivate an individual donor base, increase corporate fundraising dollars, and manage donor portfolios for the Mid-Atlantic Region of Jewish National Fund (JNF), a direct service organization which raises over $40 million annually for communities in Israel.
Nina is originally from Havre de Grace, MD, and holds a B.S. from Towson University in Mass Communication (PR/Advertising) and Fine Art. In her free time, she enjoys cycling classes, being outdoors with her dog Nala, and appreciating the museums, art and culture here in Washington DC.
