Sandhya Deshetty has nearly ten years of experience working in program management, research, and development roles in the nonprofit sector. She has worked in multiple roles at the Aspen Institute. As a senior program associate with the Program on Philanthropy and Social Innovation, she currently provides research and communications support for convenings and programs. She previously worked with Ascend at the Aspen Institute managing a research project, The Bottom Line: Investing for Impact on Economic Mobility in the U.S. Prior to working with Ascend, she supported the Alliance for Artisan Enterprise as a program officer with Aspen Global Health and Development.
In 2011, Sandhya earned a Master in Business Administration from Emory University’s Goizueta Business School, where she launched a project to explore models that can orient Ethiopia’s nascent wine industry toward creating economic opportunity for small-scale farmers. Before attending Goizueta Business School, Sandhya helped develop donor stewardship policies for Emory University and managed a $1.5 million grants program, in partnership with the Home Depot and KaBOOM!, a national non-profit working to create safe places to play for every child in America. Sandhya received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from George Mason University.
