Sarah Bressan is a research associate at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, where she contributes to the institute’s work on peace and security. Her current projects focus on conflict prevention, quantitative early warning tools and strategic foresight in foreign policy planning. In this context, she is interested in how bureaucracies and individuals think about the future and what role data and technology play in policy planning processes.

Sarah studied political and communication science with a focus on international security, political sociology, and quantitative conflict research. She previously worked on conflict and security sector analysis, researched the role of multilateral development agencies in conflict prevention, and facilitated intercultural exchange projects. Passionate about youth advocacy, she co-founded The Policy Corner, a non-profit organization that seeks to empower young voices in public policy debates.
