Sarah serves as the Director of Office Administration and Conference Services at the Aspen Institute. Sarah oversees operations at the Institute’s Washington DC headquarters and New York locations totaling over 100,000 square feet of office space that hosts nearly 375 of its employees and thousands of meetings and events annually. Sarah is responsible for managing the Institute’s real estate portfolio, developing and implementing space solutions to sustain short and long term institutional growth. Since joining the Institute in 2007, Sarah has led and managed nearly a dozen renovations and new construction projects, including the opening of three locations and its current headquarters.
Early in Sarah’s career, she pursued her passion of working with children and families by serving in dual roles within the Office of the President and the Conference department at the National Head Start Association. At NHSA, Sarah organized national training conferences for over 15,000 teachers and parents of the Head Start community. Shortly after her time with NHSA, Sarah joined the Energy and Environment program at Winrock International, an NGO helping to solve environmental issues in the sub-Saharan Africa and Central Asia regions with innovative cost-effective clean energy sources such as carbon sequestration, solar power and biofuels.
