Shiwanda is a Junior honors student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She is a member of the Psychology Club, Yard Voices of Praise Gospel Choir, Baptist Collegiate Ministries, and Golden Royalty community service organization. An advocate for issues including mental illness, racial justice, socioeconomic discrimination, and the education system, Shiwanda plans to use her knowledge and experience to create opportunities for young people from poverty-stricken communities to contribute to change as well as bring resources to their communities to help future generations. After graduating college, she plans to go to graduate school to pursue a master’s degrees in education and counseling.
