Spencer Moore serves as the director, corporate and foundation relations at the Aspen Institute. In this role, he manages the cultivation and stewardship of the Institute’s organizational donors and partners and works closely with programmatic leaders to support the Institute’s corporate and foundation funding goals. Previously, Spencer served as the director of development at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI) where he led the organization’s individual fundraising efforts. Spencer also worked closely with AEI scholars and senior leadership to develop multi-year venture philanthropy projects and project-specific fundraising pitches. Prior to this role, Spencer served as AEI’s director of foundation relations. In this capacity, he managed relationships with the most generous foundations in the United States who provided more than $15 million annually to support AEI. He also managed AEI’s Philanthropic Freedom Project and previously served as the cohost of the Institute’s public policy interview podcast Banter. Before joining AEI, Mr. Moore worked on state and local political campaigns in Alabama. He is a graduate of Auburn University with an undergraduate degree in history and political science and graduate degrees in public administration and urban planning.
