Director of Partnerships, Building Up, Toronto, ON

As Director of Partnerships for Building Up, Tarah Clark develops and manages a wide network of industry partners. Her role is to holistically engage partners in designing and executing a preapprenticeship program that directly addresses the skills needs of the trades sector. Prior to Building Up, she spent the majority of her career in various finance positions (investment banking, venture capital, and social finance) where building partnerships with clients, investors, companies and industry leaders was always a large part of her role.

Tarah Clark is a member of the Toronto Sector Skills Academy, Class of 2016-17, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.

The Workforce Leadership Academies are part of the Economic Opportunity Fellows Network, a network of leadership and fellowship programs run by the Aspen Institute Economic Opportunities Program. Within this Network, EOP connects national and local leaders from across sectors — nonprofit, government, business, philanthropy, academia, and more — to advance policies and practices with the potential to help low- and moderate-income Americans thrive in today’s economy.
