Thomas A. Kochan is the George M. Bunker Professor of Work and Employment Relations at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, Co-Director of the MIT Institute for Work and Employment Research, and was Chair of the MIT Faculty from 2009 to 2011. He received his Ph.D. in Industrial Relations from the University of Wisconsin in 1973. He is past president of the Industrial Relations Research Association and the International Industrial Relations Association. He teaches an online MITx course on Shaping the Future of Work that draws on the material in this book.
Dr. Kochan was a participant at the 2018 Economic Security Summit, which was held July 9-12, 2018, in Aspen, Colorado.
