Tom Loper is managing director of the Resnick Aspen Action Forum and network engagement for the Aspen Global Leadership Network. Tom leads the team responsible for all aspects of the Action Forum, including: program development; community development and partnerships; communications and messaging; building internal and external collaborations; sponsorships and fundraising; management tools and information systems; budget and vendor management; and program operations and logistics. Prior to joining the Aspen Institute in 2008, Tom was director of operations at two business start-ups in communications/event consulting. He volunteers now as a board member for the non-profit organization, Friends of New Orleans. Tom is a graduate of the School of International Service at American University (B.A., International Relations; B.A. Spanish Language) during which time he interned for Senator John Kerry, Lockheed Martin’s NATO office in Brussels, and the American Chamber of Commerce in Chile. He has studied at La Universidad Diego Portales in Chile, L’Université libre de Bruxelles in Belgium, and most recently, Georgetown University’s Nonprofit Executive Management program.
