Director of Employment Services, Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc., Dallas, Texas

Wana Sekander currently holds the position of Director of Employment Services at Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc. She leads a team of Employment Specialists that assist community members with barriers to employment to seek, acquire and maintain employment. Wana is currently working towards becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst with concentration in Organizational Behavior Management. Prior to joining Goodwill Industries of Dallas, Inc., Wana held the position of Manager of Behavioral Services at Autism Treatment Center of Dallas. In this position, she administered assessments, created and implemented behavior intervention plans, and trained staff on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis as well as implementing behavior plans at the center as well as the group homes. Wana also ran her own ABA therapy program for almost ten years in Sacramento, California serving families with special needs children in the home, schools, and community environments. Wana has a Masters in Education from Southern Methodist University, a Bachelor of Arts dress in Literary Analysis, and a lifetime Texas teaching certificate to teach at secondary levels.

Wana Sekander is a member of the Dallas Economic Opportunity Leadership Academy, Class of 2019-2020, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.
