Willow Darsie joined the Aspen Global Leadership Network team in January 2015 and manages the network of geographical (Africa, Central America, India, Middle East, and China) and functional leadership initiatives (education, health, and environment) that comprise the Network. Willow is responsible for developing and expanding Aspen’s growing portfolio of leadership initiatives and creating an active network of Fellows. Willow was senior fellow for partnership and innovation at the International Center for Research on Women. Previously, she was director of programs at Peace X Peace. As a consultant, Willow has advised the Inter-American Development Bank, the International Development Research Centre, iBoP Asia Science & Technology Innovation for Base of the Pyramid, the Americas Business Council Foundation, and Microfinance Advisors, among others. Between 2003-2007, Willow was associate and then deputy director of the Aspen Strategy Group, a high-level forum on foreign policy at the Aspen Institute that includes the U.S.-India Strategic Dialogue. She began her career as a researcher and client manager for Latin America’s financial services sector and served as a senior research manager of the Marketing Leadership Council. She holds an MPA from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy of the National University of Singapore and a BA in international relations from Brown University, magna cum laude.
