Senior Program Officer, Food Initiative, The Rockefeller Foundation

Bridget Carle joined The Rockefeller Foundation in February 2019. She is a Senior Program Associate in the Foundation’s Food Initiative, focusing on the Foundation’s global strategy to advance a more nourishing and sustainable food system. She works with her team, grantees, and external partners to design and implement a collaborative strategy to increase access to healthy food for populations at-risk of diet-related disease. Prior to joining The Rockefeller Foundation, Ms. Carle was a Vice President on Swiss Re’s public-private partnerships team. She led and developed their public sector work in Central America and the Caribbean, managing client relationships and creating innovative financial solutions to societal issues, including food insecurity, climate disasters, and pandemics. She worked closely with the World Bank and other multilateral organizations to build resilience to major shocks and stresses. Ms. Carle holds a B.S. in Financial Management from Clemson University and an M.S. in Food Policy and Nutrition Science from the Friedman School at Tufts University.
