Clarke Williams is the Senior Communications Manager for the Energy and Environment Program at the Aspen Institute where she creates compelling and thoughtful messaging for new and existing projects ranging from the economy-wide decarbonization of the transformation of the ocean economy and marine shipping industry to international climate diplomacy. Prior to joining the Aspen Institute, Clarke has been working in advocacy communications for seven years, most recently as a Director at The Raben Group where she built strategic communications plans and crafted DEI messaging and digital campaigns to help clients like Sony Music Entertainment, Southern Poverty Law Center and The Roddenberry Foundation engage authentically with their audiences. Before joining The Raben Group, she created campaigns for young people advocating for increased reproductive health access in notoriously red states.

Clarke graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Communications with a focus on New Media and Politics. She served as a U.N. Youth Representative in 2015 and currently serves as a volunteer for the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. Clarke has won five MarCom awards since 2015, including two AIVA Communicator Awards and an AVA Digital Award.
