Enrique Zapata is Principal for Data Intelligence and New Technologies at the Development Bank of Latin America. In 2018 he was elected as the first-ever head of the National Anticorruption Intelligence Platform of Mexico’s Anticorruption System. Previously, he served as Mexico’s Chief Data Officer, where he was responsible for developing open data and artificial intelligence policies. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Open Data Charter, the OECD’s Open Data Experts Group and of the Open Data Institute’s Open Data Leaders Network. In 2019 he was chosen by Apolitical as one of the World’s 100 Future Leaders. BA in International Relations from Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City, a Masters of Public Policy from the University of Oxford, and is a Chevening alumnus
