Jen is a Transformation Manager working in the Scottish Government’s Digital Directorate. After graduating from the University of Glasgow, Jen started her career in Technology Consulting with Accenture. Focusing on Financial Services clients, Jen gained transformation experience in the banking sector whilst expanding her knowledge on emerging technologies through working with colleagues on thought leadership and ideation. Jen then decided to move into the public sector and since joining the Scottish Government, has worked on the Social Security Programme, focusing on Disability Benefits. Jen’s role has involved helping the Programme to deliver newly devolved social security benefits in a user-centred, digital way. Through this work Jen has developed an interest in inclusive design and how technology can support those with diverse needs. She is also interested in developing approaches to user-centred, digital delivery at scale in large public-sector organisations. Outside of work, Jen is an avid reader and enjoys reading about and discussing the impact of new technologies. In the future, Jen hopes to continue her academic studies alongside her civil service career, with a focus on the impact of digital technology on society.
