Lizette Olmos Godfrey is part of the Aspen Institute’s Communications and Marketing team, where she focuses on earned media connected to the Institute’s work on economic opportunity. She has successfully secured national media placements for the Institute’s economic programs, with coverage in outlets including CNBC, CNN Business, MSNBC, Newsweek, The Hill, USA Today, and Reuters, among others.

Olmos Godfrey brings extensive experience leading award-winning campaigns at the national and state levels. She previously served as a Presidential Appointee in the Obama Administration at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Her work has earned recognition from PR News and the Stevie Awards for excellence in media relations for government campaigns.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Communication from George Washington University and a master’s degree from Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business.
