Monica Stone serves as the Community Access and Eligibility Division Operations Deputy Director for the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In this role, Monica supports the team by using data and evidence to foster economic mobility for Iowans, facilitate innovation in our work, and improve our customer experience.

To accomplish this aim, Monica engages more than 35 years of experience in the development and implementation of trailblazing and start-up efforts in a variety of settings including state and federal government, the utility sector and consulting. Now at Iowa HHS, this diverse background is helping to create the meaningful connections and programming that will allow us to realize the value of investing well in Iowa’s greatest resource – our human capital.
