Sabira Moradi is the Finance Manager for the Aspen Institute Financial Security Program (Aspen FSP).

Sabira Moradi is the Finance Manager for the Aspen Institute Financial Security Program (Aspen FSP). She works with senior leadership to develop and manage program budgets, oversees financial and grant processes, and develops and implements operational systems. Sabira was a Senior Program Associate for the Aspen Global Innovators Group (AGIG), supporting business development, grants management, development and implementation of operational plans, as well as managing AGIG’s program budget. She also managed Artisan Alliance’s Kiva loan and membership network, supporting women entrepreneurs, artisan businesses, and Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) with financing, business development, strategy, and capacity-building resources. While in college, she interned at the U.N. Department of Public Information, organizing briefing events for visitors on issues on the U.N. agenda. Sabira also supported the Office of U.N.’s Special Envoy in a major climate-change event, the Ocean Conference, emphasizing the implementation of the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 14). She also interned at the Office of Financial Services Unit at Aspen, supporting the Director of Finance in managing grants and program budgets. Sabira earned a B.A. in economics and international studies from Trinity College in Connecticut. Born in Kabul, Afghanistan, Sabira came to the U.S. at age 15, sponsored by the School of Leadership-Afghanistan (SOLA) to attend boarding school in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
