Program Manager, Leadership and Communications, Aspen Institute Latinos and Society

Silvia Green is the Program Manager for Leadership and Communications at the Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program, where she collaborates with project managers to expand her work in diversity, equity, and inclusion to a national level in support of Latinos. Silvia has previous experience working at California State University, Dominguez Hills as a Special Populations Advisor and the University of Southern California as a Student Services Manager. In these roles, she facilitated the advancement of underrepresented communities, serving as an advocate for students, families, staff and faculty. Throughout her 10 years of experience as a student affairs and administrative professional, Silvia has overseen and driven the development and evolution of strategic policies and programs that serve the needs of a culturally diverse constituent base.

 

Silvia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology with a minor in American Studies and Ethnicity, and a Master of Education in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs, both from the University of Southern California. She is a native of Los Angeles, a proud daughter of Salvadoran immigrants and a mother to two boys.
