History of Work

Since our program’s founding in 2015, AILAS has carried out programming on a variety of policy focus areas, including civic participation and economic advancement. We adapt strategy and plan new initiatives that are timely and relevant, information about which can be found on our program homepage. Below you will find resources on our past convenings, events and initiatives.

  • America’s Future Summit: This annual summit brings forward thought leaders of all backgrounds and subject matter expertise to address critical issues facing American Latinos – and therefore the nation. The summit spotlights issues and opportunities related to the economy, civic participation and educational access, and aims to further involve American Latinos in a dialogue that is important for all American’s.
    • Learning Tours with Journalists and Influencers: Our deep dives into different Latino communities and their surrounding issues enable influencers from business, investment, academia and media to add new dimensions to the surface (one-dimensional) narratives we hear about Latinos in America.
