Reimagining Opportunity in Charlotte, NC

In November 2015, the Latinos and Society Program convened a dialogue at the Levine Museum of the New South in Charlotte, NC for over 100 attendees from the Latino, business, and advocacy communities. The event highlighted bright spots and fresh thinking, from within Charlotte and beyond, that support advancing economic mobility and prosperity for all of Charlotte’s citizens. Speakers discussed the role of Charlotte as a business driven city and the importance of the rapid growth of the Latino community and the need to provide quality affordable education, mixed income development, and access to savings and credit in order to make economic mobility a reality for more Charlotteans.
