Investment and Entrepreneurship Conference
PNB-NAPEO, in partnership with the Tunisian-American Chamber of Commerce and the US Department of State, hosted the Investment and Entrepreneurship Conference in Tunis, Tunisia on March 5, 2015. The conference featured a video address from President Obama and keynote speeches from Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, Tunisian Prime Minister Habib Essid, US Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker, and former US Secretary of State Madeleine Albright. The conference, which brought over 500 attendees from the US and North Africa, featured representation from Amazon, GE, Microsoft, Boeing, the Coca-Cola Company, US and Tunisian government, and regional ambassadors, among others. Three plenary sessions and four breakout sessions comprised the day-long conference, focusing on driving entrepreneurship and investment in North Africa, innovative finance, renewable energy infrastructure, closing the skills gap in the Maghreb, ICT, and more. PNB-NAPEO also hosted a workforce development luncheon at the conference hosted by Secretary Albright and a few key stakeholders from the PNB Morocco chapter, US government, and private sector to discuss further building out PNB’s workforce development initiative in Morocco.
