2015 Aspen Summer Words Festival

April 8, 2015  • Caroline Tory, Guest Blogger

The upcoming Aspen Summer Words Festival, from June 21-26, features an extraordinary lineup of visiting authors. Hosted by Aspen Words, this internationally recognized literary gathering will welcome writers Richard Russo, Ann Hood, Akhil Sharma, Dani Shapiro, Andre Dubus III, Hannah Tinti, and Sharr White (playwright).

Mornings will be devoted to workshops, including the ever-popular Readers’ Retreat. Afternoons and evenings will include readings and conversations with the featured authors, as well as discussions with publishing industry professionals.

“Prairie Home Companion’s” Garrison Keillor will headline the Aspen Words Summer Soiree, a benefit, on June 24.

Registration is open for three non-juried workshops: Beginning Fiction, Playwriting, and the Readers’ Retreat. Tickets for the public programs and the benefit are available May 1.

The Summer Words 2015 authors cover a variety of genres, from memoir and novels to plays, poetry, and short stories.  Add the titles below to your reading list, and connect with the Institute on Goodreads to receive reading recommendations year-round.
