RSVP: Livestream on Combatting Inequality in America

November 12, 2015  • Zach St. Louis

On Thursday, November 19, more than 300 policy makers, thought leaders, social entrepreneurs, philanthropists, and practitioners will gather in Washington, DC, for the Aspen Institute Summit on Inequality & Opportunity, focused on addressing the widening opportunity gap in the United States.

The Summit, part of the Institute’s Advancing Opportunity Initiative, is a day-long event dedicated to nonpartisan dialogue that will explore the newest research, best practices, and emerging innovations in the fight against poverty. The event will draw attention to and generate dialogue around the issue of economic inequality in America, and also serve as a call to action in the run-up to the 2016 election.

Leading the conversations will be an array of leaders including Director of the White House Domestic Policy Council Cecelia Muñoz, Ford Foundation President Darren Walker, American Enterprise Institute President Arthur Brooks, Educator and 2014 National Poetry Slam Champion Clint Smith, and Baltimore City Health Commissioner Dr. Leana Wen, among others (view our list of speakers at as.pn/opportunityspeakers). A panel of youth will also join the program.
