Soft Skills Upskilling Planning Guide

October 24, 2018  • Kevin Martin (i4cp) & Jaime S. Fall

Soft skills are crucial for employee and business success. Better teamwork, communication, and customer interaction all make workers more effective and adaptable, even in the face of automation. But creating a training program for soft skills can be daunting.

With this in mind, UpSkill America and i4cp have developed a step by step “Soft Skills Upskilling Planning Guide” to help employers looking to create training programs for soft skills. The tool walks you through a seven-step process, from identifying how soft skills training can help your business through implementation and measuring success. It includes key considerations and steps for continued refinement and improvement of the program. You can download the tool here.

The Soft Skills tool is the fourth in a series to be released in 2018, thanks to a grant from Walmart to support UpSkill America’s work to equip businesses with tools to educate, train, and support frontline workers’ development to advance their careers. The work builds on UpSkill America’s 2017 UpSkilling Playbook for Employers.
