Art, Architecture, and History Tour of the Aspen Meadows

Contextualize your time in Aspen by learning some rudimentary Aspen history, and the beginnings of the Aspen Institute, by touring this Bauhaus-inspired campus designed by Herbert Bayer. You will visit the outdoor sculptures and earthworks and see the art exhibition on view. Be inspired by the unique surroundings that are the beginnings of modern Aspen and the Aspen Institute. This tour is led by curator Lissa Ballinger.All tours meet at the Doerr-Hosier Center (845 Meadows Rd.)

Health and Safety Guidelines:

  • Space is limited. All tours will be capped at 10 people and registration is required.
  • To make this gathering as safe as possible, all attendees will be required to show proof of COVID vaccination status, or, if they are unable to be vaccinated for an allowable reason, will be asked to take a rapid COVID test onsite before entry. More details on the rapid COVID test will be provided closer to the event. Staff working the event will be covered by the same requirements. Details on how to share your vaccination status will be provided closer to the event but will rely on a secure system that will ensure your private medical information is kept confidential.
  • Unvaccinated individuals will be asked to wear masks in line with CDC guidance; vaccinated individuals are welcome to wear masks, but they will not be required.
