Fireside Chat: Norm Gershman “Besa – Muslims Who Saved Jews in WWII”
Featuring Norman H. Gershman, who traveled to Muslim Albania and Kosovo to photograph the Muslim families that rescued and saved Jews in World War II. Gershman captured these striking portraits for more than 6 years as a tribute to the individuals and families that honored the code of BESA. Due to the popularity of his book on this topic and exhibitions, a documentary film has been made telling the incredible stories of Muslim families extending generosity to others in need.
