Five years ago, Ascend at the Aspen Institute was launched with a vision of an America in which a legacy of educational success and economic security passes from one generation to the next. With the concept of two-generation approaches fully sparked in communities and states and innovative two-generation practices informing policy opportunities at the local, state, and federal levels, the time is now to reflect on lessons learned and focus on opportunities ahead.
The Aspen State of 2Gen Roundtable will focus on important insights, best and next practices, and policy innovations emerging from the last five years, including the Ascend Fellowship; the Ascend Network; the 2Gen Outcomes Working Group; and the vital efforts of colleague institutions and philanthropic partners and their grantees.
