The event will be a dialogue about the importance of portraying Native children in a positive light and sharing positive stories in Indian Country. The Center’s founder, Senator Byron Dorgan, will announce the creation of the Center’s Champions for Change (CFC) program, a spinoff of a White House Initiative, created to recognize and encourage inspirational Native American youth working in their tribal or urban Indian communities to promote hope and make a positive impact.
