• 5:15 pm – 6:15 pm Violent Islamists and the States that Support Them Featuring Danielle Pletka, Vice President for Foreign and Defense Policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute.  Fred and Kimberly Kagan will be unable to attend, as they have been asked to stay in Afghanistan to continue their critical work there. 

• August 12, 8:30 am to 9:30 am: A conversation with Arthur Brooks, president of AEI, on his new book, “The Battle: How the Fight Between Free Enterprise and Big Government Will Shape America’s Future.” Book signing to follow.
