The Egyptian Citizen Sector in a Post-Mubarak World

Dr. Iman Bibars, an Egyptian national based in Cairo, has been a regional leader for the past 25 years. The discussion will center on Egypt’s pivotal role in shaping a new voice for change in the Arab World, and the role of social entrepreneurship in an evolving region.

The Aspen Institute serves as the Secretariat for Partners for a New Beginning (PNB). A joint project with the State Department and leading business and civil society leaders, PNB is a collection of public-private partnerships committed to broadening and deepening engagement between the United States and local communities on issues of economic opportunity, science & technology, education, and exchange to help advance President Obama’s Cairo vision.
