Arts & Ideas Series Seminar

Award-winning documentary filmmaker Ken Burns will take us along on his journey through the national parks, which began six years ago and inspired his newest blockbuster series for PBS, airing this fall, on the national parks as America’s cathedral.

The two morning sessions of the seminar will feature a “sneak preview” of outstanding scenes from the twelve hour documentary, which begins in September.

Burns will also discuss his unique way of turning history into an art form, making people and events, long since dead, come very much alive.  He has won nearly every award in his field for PBS documentaries on the Civil War, baseball, jazz and most recently World War II.

The cost of $275 includes the two morning sessions of the seminar, two breakfasts, and front row tickets to a McCloskey Speaker Series event featuring Ken Burns on the final night of the seminar. Register Now
