McCloskey Speaker Series: The Future of News with David Leonhardt

The McCloskey Speaker Series presents a unique and diverse roster of distinguished speakers. The series is made possible by a generous donation from the McCloskey Family Charitable Foundation.

Featuring David Leonhardt, an op-ed columnist for The New York Times. The media is under attack, both from its many critics and from technological change. Yet the media is also thriving, with big scoops, growing subscriber bases and new entrants. David Leonhardt was the founding editor of The Upshot, a Times venture covering politics and policy, and recently led a strategy group recommending a vision for The Times’s future. He will discuss his own publication and the industry as a whole, offering thoughts on how the media can do better and what challenges lie ahead.

Fee: $25. Tickets on sale June 20 at www.aspenshowtix.com.
