Meet the 2020 Class of Champions for Change

Livestream:

The event will be a youth led panel discussion to share the work of our eighth class of Champions for Change. This panel discussion will highlight the variety of work these Champions have done, such as revitalization of language and culture, advocating for gun control, destigmatization of mental illness, implementing traditional ways of intergenerational healing, and increasing visibility and Native storytelling.

This year our keynote speaker will be former State Representative of Idaho, Paulette Jordan (@PauletteEJordan)

Our panel includes: Owen L. Oliver (Quinault (Chinook) Indian Nation & Isleta Pueblo), Jazmine Wildcat (Northern Arapaho), Warren Davis (Navajo Nation), Isabella Madrigal (Cahuilla Band of Indians & Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians), and Shavaughna Underwood (Quinault Indian Nation)

Moderators: CNAY Youth Advisory Board members Christie Wildcat (Northern Arapaho) and Samuel Schimmel (Kenaitze/ St. Lawrence Island Siberian Yupik)

MC: CNAY Youth Advisory Board member Anthony Tamez (First Nations Cree and Sicangu Lakota)

On Tuesday evening, CNAY will be hosting our eighth anniversary reception to honor our champions.
