Public Library Innovations: A Story of Community Engagement

The Aspen Institute Dialogue on Public Libraries in partnership with the International City/County Management Association (ICMA) will be conducting a webinar for local government and library leaders interested in designing more effective strategies for aligning library services with community priorities. Through a case study approach focused on the use of the Action Guide for Re-Envisioning Your Public Library in one North Carolina community, this webinar will present practical strategies for implementing the guide as a tool for strategic planning to transform your public library and community.

Join the director of the Aspen Institute Dialogue on Public Libraries and a county manager-library director team from Brevard, North Carolina (Transylvania County) to learn practical strategies for implementing the Action Guide as part of a community-wide strategic planning process that raises the value of the library as a tool in the toolkit of local governments. Webinar experts include:

Amy Garmer, Director, Aspen Institute Dialogue on Public Libraries

Jaime Laughter, County Manager, Transylvania County, North Carolina

Anna Yount, Library Director, Transylvania County Library
